Genute for Judge Campaign
Genute for Judge was a political campaign in my hometown of Norwich, NY for the 2017 Primary and General Election. Following Genute’s City Court Judge win in both the Primary and General Election, a continued brand identity was desired in which the logo and identity transpired its wording from a candidacy position to that of an elected official. Throughout the campaign, the target audience was to reach all eligible voters while setting a mission that gaged the mindset of removing party lines in order to focus on “Commitment & Experience” to ensure the best practice in the court room was ensured. While his opponents took a different route, such as using a typical political color scheme (Red, White and Blue) Genute wanted to stand out. Therefore, Purple and White was decided upon as it better represented the community and what his mission was in becoming the Norwich City Court Judge. The brand identity carried over these ideals via the use of a logo adaption, as well as a letterhead, graphic standards manual, and envelope design post-election.In terms of the package design, I wanted to pull together the human condition along with the environment of a moth. As we once walked the land as freely as this creature, our experiences too are routed and shared in nature.
